„Totul a început în luna ianuarie 2016. Odată cu venirea noului an, mi-am propus drept scop să creez în fiecare zi. Am inițiat cu efectuarea colajelor, apoi am combinat diverse tehnici artistice și prin erori sau succese am înțeles ce îmi place cel mai mult. În octombrie am făcut primul portret. Totul a evoluat în mod organic, lent și din plăcere.

Îmi plac portretele, pentru că îmi plac oamenii. E fascinant să analizez trăsăturile oamenilor, să le înțeleg personalitatea. Nu cred că mă voi opri aici, vreau să încerc de toate. Acum, spre exemplu, mă simt atrasă de ilustrație și încerc să depun efort în această direcție.

Găsesc inspirație în orice, muzică, reviste, chiar și online. E nevoie de un gest, o poziție, o combinație de culori și mă simt mânată spre masa de desen. Totuși cred că persistența e cheia, perseverez în continuare să creez ceva zilnic, cât de puțin, fără a aștepta muza. „Just do it” ar fi motto-ul meu acum. O fac în primul rând pentru mine, pentru emoțiile pe care le simt eu atunci când desenez. În rest, dacă creația mea îi place cuiva e doar un bonus și o mare binecuvântare.

La moment sunt stabilită în Dublin. Arta e în abundență aici în orice fel, nu doar arta vizuală. E un oraș care inspiră, deoarece îți oferă libertate să creezi.  Nu mă simt influențată în mod conștient de cultura irlandeză, sufletul îmi este acasă, chiar dacă nu neg faptul că în subconștient se fac conexiuni pe care nu le analizez.

Toate lucrările mele, dacă nu sunt la comandă, reflectă stările și trăirile mele. Undeva mai voalat, undeva mai deschis, doar că în multe multe straturi care se conectează accidental sau nu prea.

Aș putea aduna toate lucrările într-un zilnic vizual pe care îmi va fi interesant să-l citesc peste ani. Acum nu mă întorc la ele. Odată făcute, le plasez online și merg înainte. Mă tentează că urmează mai mult decât ce am dobândit până acum. Privitorul trece ilustrațiile prin prisma trăirilor sale, care sunt atât de diferite și imprevizibile.”

15 hours of work, countless cups of tea and the occasional coffee, bosa nova music in the background and muffled sounds of fighting children and voila - my new painting! I'll call it "Finally home" because what you see is the pattern of a #vintage #bessarabian #rug and I absolutely adore them. They are handmade where I'm coming from originally and are part of national treasury. It's a dying practice unfortunately, very few people are left to produce these handwoven beauties.

Day2 of #marchmeetthemaker My favourite thing is drawing and painting. I'm quite obsessive about it, if I could afford it i'd spend all my time at the drawing table. Who cares about the dishes anyway? Portraits and ,as of late, illustrations like this one here would be my favourite. I also like writing little stories about the painting just to introduce the character and create a bit of suspense.

I drew the Seated #woman with bent knee by Egon Schiele and gave it a modern twist + tried some #calligraphy. When i see this painting, #abba 's #dancingqueen is on My mind. To me they are the perfect match. There's a thick melancoly surrounding both the painting and the song. What do you think?
