Компания Adobe объявила конкурс на лучшую цифровую интерпретацию картины «Крик» Эдварда Мунка. Заявки, присланные на конкурс авторами со всего мира, можно отслеживать в инстаграме по тегу #munchcontest.

Конкурс приурочен к выходу нового набора цифровых кистей, воссозданного специалистами Adobe из тех, что в действительности принадлежали художнику. Инструменты Мунка сперва сфотографировали в сверхвысоком разрешении, а затем использовали получившиеся снимки для создания их компьютерных моделей.

Работы, присланные на конкурс, должны быть созданы с использованием именно этого пакета кистей.

My entry for #MunchContest. In the original painting the main character screams his distress, unheard by whoever around him. I tried to close up on him as if he were trying to grab the viewer and shake them off their passive lack of concern. At the same time I am also thinking that he might scream against the theatricality of pain, of how much someone's tragedy may get to be advertised in recent times. It was not an easy painting to reproduce but I still enjoyed going wild with colours and distortions.
