Одна из самых популярных арабских телекомпаний “Аль-Джазира”, принадлежащая катарскому правительству, сняла репортаж о Молдове, главной фигурой которого стал олигарх и председатель Демпартии Влад Плахотнюк, “Moldova and the Puppet Master | People and Power”.

Авторы сюжета – журналисты Гленн Эллис и Виктория Колчина за 25 минут пытаются объяснить, что происходит в Молдове. В кадре известные политические фигуры – Игорь Додон, Майя Санду, Наталья Морарь и другие.

Несмотря на международный авторитет и обычно высокий профессионализм журналистов “Аль-Джазира”, сюжет получился спорным. В комментариях на YouTube главный упрёк от зрителей из Молдовы, в том, что видео представляет нашу страну, как пророссийскую.

Из странных моментов: репортёры зачем-то поехали в староверческое село, взяли интервью у цыганского барона, и сказали, что бабушка, продающая “сэконд”, “вынужденна продавать свои личные вещи, чтобы прожить”.

Из-за того, что страна в целом показана в необъективном свете, главный посыл серьёзно страдает.

As a Moldovan, I disliked this documentary. Almost the whole movie showed interviews with Russian-speaking individuals and their narrow way of thinking, portraying the country as if everyone is like them. Don’t let yourselves be fooled by this portray, they’re so stupid that they cannot understand on which planet they live.

As a Moldovian, I must say this is SICKENING. AlJazeera do you even do research before posting? Russians made up only 8% of the population! 8% – not more! Yet somehow you’re interviewing mostly Russian speaking citizens. Indeed Plahotniuc is evil and corrupt, but so is Dodon (the president), so is Nastase (one of the leaders of “ACUM”), and most of the politicians who are getting paid from taxpayers (unfairly paid). The situation will change only when politicians will get stripped of their immunity.

An interesting video. I am an American who has lived in Moldova for almost two years. So far, the political discord has not affected me much. My wife and I live in a small village home where we grow our own crops, raise our own chickens, pick our own fruit, gather our own nuts and berries, and make our own wine. It’s a simple life with simple pleasures. I love it.
